Please keep in mind that the restrictions already mentioned below apply:
- A character cannot be transferred if:
- he is a guild master
- he has active auctions or bids.
- he has mail.
- The character's name may need to be changed upon arrival at the destination server.
- A character cannot be transferred to a PvP realm if you already have a character from the other faction there.
- These transfers are one-time and cannot be reversed. Blizzard Customer Service cannot track or modify free character transfers.

Those responsible at Blizzard have not forgotten the Classic Era servers of World of Warcraft (buy now € 14.99 ). At least there's since a few hours the possibility to perform a free character transfer on selected era realms. According to the official post by Community Manager Kaivax, however, the choice of source and destination servers is severely limited, and the Blizzard employee also mentions a number of restrictions.
Character transfers are possible from:
- Atiesh to Mankrik (Normal)
- Bloodsail Buccaneers to Mankrik (Normal)
- Remulos to Mankrik (Normal)
- Arugal to Whitemane (PvP)
- Deviate Delight to Whitemane (PvP)
- Faerlina to Whitemane (PvP)
- Grobbulus to Whitemane (PvP)
- Loatheb to Whitemane (PvP)
- Sulfuras to Whitemane (PvP)
- Sul'thraze to Whitemane (PvP)
However, characters cannot transfer if they are guild leaders, have goods or bids in the auction house, or have mail in the mail. Also, you cannot transfer to a PvP server if you already have a character on the other faction side. The character transfer is a trip without a return ticket - the transfer cannot be reversed.
Below the post, many players are now wondering why these particular origin and destination servers were chosen. After all, there is currently probably plenty of demand for such a transfer in the Classic Era area in all regions - because "dead" servers are more than enough.
Should Blizzard offer such a character transfer for DE servers as well, we will update this message.
