When patch 9.1 hits the live servers, the story of WoW Shadowlands will of course finally continue. In addition to the Pact campaigns, the main story will also continue. It goes to Korthia, where we prepare the attack on the dungeon master. Of course, in order for this to fit story-wise, you'll need to have experienced the actual story of Patch 9.0 first.
- Once you log into Patch 9.1, you will automatically receive the quest The First Step.
- Provided you have completed Chapter 2 of the campaign (final quest: Prison of the Forgotten).
If you haven't completed the second chapter of the campaign, you'll have to do so. However, only on your first character
Skip Quest Series
Because if you've completed the campaign with one character up to that point, you'll get the option to skip it with all other characters and jump straight into the content of Patch 9.1. All you have to do is talk to Bolvar Fordragon in Oribos, who will offer you the appropriate dialogue option.
Not only does this skip the campaign part, but it also skips the entire introduction to Torghast. Most players should like this, as Torghast isn't exactly popular in general. However, it should be noted that you will also lose out on quest rewards in the form of lots of Anima and Soul Ash.
The following quests can be skipped on Bolvar once you've completed them with a character (and are also prerequisites for starting the quest line from patch 9.1):
Story Campaign
- Call of the High Lord
- In Torghast
- The Quest for Baine
- Prison of the Forgotten
- Deep within
- Reawakening
- A cursed contract
- A grave chance
- The weakest link
- Prison of the Forgotten
Introduction to Torghast
- Explore Torghast
- Remnants of Hope
- The Price of Information
- Torture Chamber: Jaina
- Find a Witness
- To keep the trail cold
- Torture chamber: Thrall
- Tracks of the Lion
- The Captured King
- An echo in the dark
- Vision of the Highlord
- Birth of a Gramblade
- In the grip of the jailer
Once these quests are skipped or completed, you will start the Korthia campaign per The First Step. You can also skip these once you have completed them with a character. But that's not quite right. After completing the campaign itself, you will still need to complete the In Need of Assistance quest, which requires you to complete three daily quests in Korthia.
After that, all other twinks on your account can skip the first three chapters of the quest series around Korthia entirely. Again, Bolvar Fordragon in Oribos will help you with the appropriate dialogue option.
