As you know, yesterday, November 17, 2021, the servers for the first season of the WoW Classic championship went live. Along for the ride: an optional Hardcore mode and the pimped versions of the iconic bosses from Molten Core and Onyxia's Lair. And by "pimped," we mean that Baron Geddon, Shazzrah, Garr and co. actually present a juicy challenge in their new versions.
Heavy bosses and only a virtual life? That screams for an insane hardcore challenge! That's exactly what numerous WoW streamers thought, and they've created a special event for the championship season. The goal of "Road to Ragnaros" is to level up to level 60 without visiting a spirit healer, equip yourself there in the best possible way (also without virtual death), and finally clean up Molten Core with all its buffed nasties (again, without death).

Hardcore! All info about Road to Ragnaros
The rule for the participants is clear (and a whole lot more hardcore than Blizzard's hardcore feature): If you die, you delete your character and start over. This also means: A stupid pull in MC, which leads to a wipe, and the whole raid is allowed to bathe in its own frustration juice. The whole thing is checked with the Hardcore Companion addon,
which automatically notifies all users of the mod when a participating character has wandered into nirvana. If you want to get in the mood for the "Road to Ragnaros", check out the trailer for the event; voiced by Kevin Jordan, game designer for the original World of Warcraft (buy now 14,99 € )
