A wipe on a raid boss in WoW is always an annoying affair. Of course, this is especially true if it was extremely close. Every player who is often in the raids has probably experienced this. Few players are still alive, the boss is about to kick the bucket, and with a few percent of HP left, the last player keels over and the battle is lost.

Normally, it is now, wipe your mouth and start the next attempt. After all, players want the loot from the boss. But what if the system can't decide whether you've really won or lost? That's what happened to a group in the new Mausoleum of the First raid on the Watchful Guardian.
Wipe or no wipe - that is the question here

Almost exactly in time with the death of the last remaining player, the group was also able to beat the boss down to 0 percent. The virtual corpse of the guardian paladin hadn't hit the ground yet, and the boss meter was actually already showing "Dead," when the Attentive Guardian simply disappeared. As bosses tend to do when they remain victorious and the raid is left in the dust. That in itself would be bitter enough, as the relatively annoying fight then has to be replayed to bag the loot. Stupidly, the internal system did not categorize the fight as a wipe, but as a success for the raid group. There was still no loot - the boss was gone. It was possible to rewipe, but the entire raid already had a Loot ID for this boss. So there was no loot in the second kill either.
According to the player concerned, the GM's answer was not exactly encouraging either:
- While we totally get how this may not be the answer you were hoping to read, regrettably, it pains me to say that the only other alternative is trying again next week, whenever possible.
So they recognize the problem and recommend to try again next week. There was nothing more that could be done for the group. I'm sure that alleviates the frustration right away. Not. Nevertheless, there was an ID lock. So was one "successful" after all? Source: Childishforlife/YouTube

The Enigma Arena from WoW Patch 9.2.5 will probably not have moving pillars after all - the concept doesn't seem to work again.Have you ever experienced something like this? That you have killed a boss and then again not killed? We only remember this from before, when you could still release the ghost during the fight and then not get any loot if the rest of the group was successful. But the fact that the whole raid doesn't get any loot and the boss is still lured for the ID is new to us.
